When chewing and biting: Take small bites and try to chew slowly and with all your teeth. Speaking and listening: Try to talk and listen in front of a mirror to give you confidence. Bite and swallow before speaking to ensure the dentures are in the correct position. You may think you'd talk differently, but the others won't notice the difference. When using dentures: Because each denture is unique, you may need several attempts until you find the right amount of adhesive cream to apply to you. Keep the nozzle and lid clean and dry to prevent them from clogging up. Use warm water to clean excess adhesive cream on the gums and dentures. For better adaptation, your dentist may advise you to wear your dentures all day for several days.
