BRONCHOSTOP® Antitussive and expectorant, soft tablets is a medicine for adults, adolescents and children over 6 years of age.
Elderly
There are no special recommendations for this age group.
PATIENT ADVICE
- If symptoms continue or worsen after 5 days of use, it is advisable to consult your doctor.
- It is recommended to drink an abundant amount of water and other liquids during treatment.
- It is advisable to tell your doctor if fever or shortness of breath appears.
Pregnancy
Lack of clinical information. Preferable to avoid use.
Indications
- For the [PRODUCTIVE TOS] associated with the cold and to relieve [DRY TOS] in throat irritation.
Its use is based exclusively on a traditional use.
Interactions
- Althaea root may delay oral absorption of other medicinal products taken simultaneously. Better to space 0.5-1 h taking other medicines.
Children
Lack of experience in children under 6 years old. Indicated in children between the age of 6 and 12
RULES FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION
Orally. Soft pills (suck the pill until it gets rid of it in the mouth).
Dosage
- Adults and adolescents over 12 years:1 –2 pills every 4 hours (4 to 6 times a day). The maximum daily dose is 12 pills.
- Children between 6 –12 years:1 pill every 3-4 hours (4 to 6 times a day). The maximum daily dose is 6 pills.
Duration of treatment: The recommended duration of treatment is 5 days.
EXCIPIENT PRECAUTIONS
- This medicine contains maltitol. Patients with hereditary [FRUCTOSA INTOLERANCE] should not take this medicine.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
- Digestives. Nonspecific gastric disorders.
- Allergic/dermatological. Allergic reactions have been reported, including one case of anaphylaxis and another of Quincke's edema.
ADVERSE REACTIONS RELATING TO EXCIPIENTS
- This medicine contains maltitol. Daily doses greater than 10 g may produce some mild laxative effect and result in [DIARREA].
