Aero-network belongs to the group of medicines that acts in the intestine destroying the gas bubbles, facilitating their elimination and relieving the discomfort it causes. It is indicated for symptomatic relief of gases in adults.

2. What you need to know before you start taking Aero-network
Do not take Aero-network:
- If you are allergic to simethicone or any of the components of this medicine
(listed in section 6).
- If you have known or suspected perforation or intestinal obstruction.
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor if it gets worse or not improves after 10 days of treatment or if you have prolonged constipation.
Children
This medicine is not recommended for use in children. There are other medicines containing simethicone that are indicated in infants and children such as Aero-Red 100 mg/ml oral drops in solution.
Taking Aero-red with other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
Pregnancy and Lactation
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
Because the passage from simethicone to blood is negligible, pregnant and lactating women may take this medicine after seeing their doctor.
Driving and using machines
Aero-network has no known effects on the ability to drive or use machines.
Aero-network contains glucose and sucrose
If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to certain sugars, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine.
3. How to take Aero-network
Always take the medicine exactly as shown in this leaflet or as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Adults:
The recommended dose is 2 chewable tablets (80 mg simethicone), 3 times a day after each of the main meals, do not administer more than 12 chewable tablets (480 mg simethicone) daily.
This medicine is for oral use.
Chew the tablets well before swallowing (should not swallow whole)
If symptoms do not improve within 10 days you should stop treatment and see your doctor.
If you take more Aero-network than you should
In case of overdose or accidental ingestion, go to a medical center, consult your doctor or pharmacist or call the Toxicological Information Service, telephone: 91 562 04 20, indicating the medicine and the amount ingested.
If you forgot to take Aero-network
Do not take a double dose to make up for forgotten doses.
If you have any further questions about the use of this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
During the period of use of simethicone, the following side effects have been observed, the frequency of which has not been established.
Frequency not known (cannot be estimated from available data):
- moderate transient constipation and nausea.
- allergic (hypersensitivity) reactions such as rash and itching of the skin, edema in the face or tongue or shortness of breath.
Belching may occur that constitute the normal mechanism for removing gases with this treatment.
Communication of side effects:
If you experience any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist, even if they are possible side effects not listed in the package leaflet. 5. Aero-network conservation
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton after EXP. The expiration date is the last day of the specified month.
PVC/aluminium blister with 30 tablets: Store below 30oC
Plastic bottle with 100 tablets: This medicine does not require special storage conditions
Medicines should not be flushed down drains or into trash. Deposit the containers and medicines you don't need at the SIGRE point of the pharmacy. If in doubt, ask your pharmacist how to get rid of medicines you don't need. This will help protect the environment.
6. Packaging contents and additional information
Aero-network composition
- The active substance is simethicone. Each chewable tablet contains 40 mg of
simethicone.
- The other ingredients are: sucrose, hydrated dextrates (contains glucose), silica
hydrated colloidal, magnesium stearate and vanillin. See section 2. "Aero-network
contains glucose and sucrose."

Aero-network are white, round tablets.
Blister, pack of 30 tablets and bottle of 100 tablets.
